    Silk has always caught eyes and hearts since its discovery. It is extremely a luxury good. The maintenance of secrecy of the procedure for its production by its discoverers, during the early history, is apparently totally justified. This precious and beautifully smooth and shiny fabric was mostly a royal taste. As time passes, various variations were introduced inside which combined with its popularity generating it affordable. Various new modifications introduced within the shiny, smooth fabric have increased its applicability to western wear at the same time. Silk defines class. Fashion freaks ‘re going crazy in love with modified fabrics. Silk tulle is one such fabric that is gaining interest every day as a result of comfort and daintiness available from it.

    A few of the common forms of silks known include:

    Mulberry – this can be the most common and popular and accounts for 90% of the world’s supply. It needs special care to keep up its smooth structure.

    Tasar it is a wild-type created by caterpillars instead of mulberry worms. This kind of silk comes in its natural form since it is tough to dye.

    Eri – it is a creamy, light silk, produced by domesticated type of silk worms. Eri is durable and is heavy to clean.

    Muga – It’s golden yellow coloured. This is limited in supply. It is high quality and it is used in making traditional dresses, especially of royal taste. It often limits bleaching.

    Mussel – It is usually called ‘sea silk’. Its production is merely done with the shores of Taranto, Italy.

    Silk tulle is a lightweight and very dainty fabric having a type of net structure. It is mostly chosen to create petticoats. It is trusted in finishing blouses, bridal wear, women’s shirts and summer wear at the same time. It provides elegance and airiness. With one of these effects emanating within the dress, the outfits become really attractive and fascinate consumers. It provides a beautiful pearly sheen and is quite light. There are mainly two kinds of silk tulle available namely, English and French. The previous type is made with a slightly larger weave and is also the sheerest option available. French silk is amongst the most luxurious, incredibly soft and flowy type. This type is slightly opaque but nevertheless very sheer.

Silk is probably the strongest and quite a few tensile natural fiber and competes with steel yarn in tensile strength. It’s moderately abrasion resistant and is also highly absorbent and dries quickly.
